Favorite Quotes From Anderson Cooper

Thoughts are fleeting. Though it’s impossible for you to stop your thoughts from coming and going, the idea behind the thought is that they are like waves in the ocean. Jon Kabat-Zinn used this analogy to show that it is like diving under the waves. It’s also kind of fascinating.

I wouldn’t say I like being scared. I prefer to confront it head-on. Anybody who claims they aren’t scared is either a fool, a liar, or both. I don’t want fear in my stomach to become part of my daily life so I try to eliminate it.

You’ve probably ever swum under the waves in the ocean. It’s a great experience. However, the currents can move you, but the waves don’t push you around. That’s kind of what meditation looks like.
